Recognised UK Care Induction Training Course

The Care Certificate is a set of standards which has been identified as the minimum training requirements for new starters in health and social care.

It was developed by Skills for Care, Health Education England and Skills for Health and replaced the Common Induction Standards following the Cavendish Report in 2013.

Our Care Certificate learning programme allows learners to meet the knowledge element of the Care Certificate by completing online learning with automated assessments & downloadable certificates.

The CareTuition Care Certificate is completed by hundreds of learners each week who are either working in the care industry or seeking employment in care.

This course can be completed in around 15 hours on either a desktop or mobile device. There are no lectures or seminars to attend – simply absorb the learning materials in your own time and demonstrate your understanding using the scored tests.

Who is this Course for?

The Care Certificate is useful to anyone entering the health and social care workforce at an entry level, or even people with significant experience who have not yet been trained to care certificate standards. Under the Health and Social Care Act 2014, the Care certificate is now the expected & recognised standard of training for all healthcare assistants and care & support workers in England. Since Skills for Care recommend annual training updates in most of the Care Certficate standards, the course is also useful for refresher training.

This course can also be taken by learners seeking employment in the care industry in the UK who wish to gain & demonstrate an understanding of the key principles of care. It is a robust introduction to the care industry in England and will be recognised by healthcare employers across the country.

Course Content, Learning Outcomes & Assessment

Our Care Certificate course comprises 15 modules or ‘standards’ which are the key subject areas that the course covers. At the end of each module there will be a short test for which the learner must achieve 80% to pass. You’ll get 10 attempts at each test so please use them carefully. The tests consist of mostly multiple choice questions and they are scored automatically which means you’re able to download your certificate instantly at the end of each module. Once you’ve completed all 15 modules you’ll be able to download the certificate for the full course. You’re free to download your certificates as many times as you need to while you maintain your account with us.
